I learned one lesson on this trip. NEVER remove the proof of sex from the carcass. This means be real careful when you skin 'em out. This warden was friendly and gave me a break. This error could have cost me $137.

One more sunrise over elk country. This little clear cut was full of fresh sign, but we were hiking in to recover two cow elk from the previous evening.

That full moon again. But it was still right pretty. The aspens were almost done with the Fall display, but there was still plenty of color to entertain the eye.

Every hunting camp should have a shed pile out front. There were some awesome antlers in this pile. Deer hunting has declined since Hyatt started guiding in the 1950s, but it has been rebounding over the last few years. From the number of deer I saw on this trip, I'd say there's still plenty!
